Hey there,

My name is Benjamin Block.

I’m a speaker, creative, and podcaster; working to call crowds toward courage & doing my best to spread hope in the world.

I married the most beautiful woman on planet earth, Sydney Garcia. We love doing life together. We live in San Marcos, Texas. We love our city! We are smack dab between Austin & San Antonio.

Thanks so much for stopping by to find out more about me! If you’re here, I’m assuming you want some background & details… here you go!

I grew up in Nairobi, Kenya. From a young age, I was drawn towards leadership, creativity, & performance. I would direct shows in my grandparents' basement, turning their cold floor into my first stage. As I got older these passions of mine took a variety of shapes.

In High School, I directed a benefit concert that we called “AFROCKA”(Africa + Rock Music = AFROCKA). Through 6 concerts we raised over $35,000 for school & water projects in East Africa.

Following High School, I spent two years with a program called Focus One(Formerly Rockford Masters Commission, now called City First Leadership College), at City First Church in Rockford, Illinois. It was at this time that I began to own my crafts as both a communicator and musician, having opportunities to travel and speak as well as lead worship consistently.

At the end of my time in Rockford, I was given the opportunity to move to San Marcos, Texas to help start a church from scratch. Eikon Church began in a living room with 12 people back in 2012 and has since grown to 600 in attendance for weekend services. I am thrilled to have served as Creative Arts Pastor for five years and to still be part of the teaching team.

I hosted “The Trailhead Podcast” with nearly 100 episodes and 20,000 downloads, and now host “Calling Courage”, a video podcast that calls people to live a life of courage.

The last several years, I’ve had opportunities to speak to a variety of audiences. Churches, schools, retreats, and other events. I’ve spoken to audiences of just a handful and auditoriums filled with people. My passion regardless of the size of the room is always to call people toward their next right step and to move people into a path of purpose and calling.

I work hard; I’m incredibly passionate about all I do. I speak from my heart and genuinely want to help people live courageously.

Currently I travel and speak at churches, conferences, schools and other events. Plus, I host “Calling Courage” to help people get started in their leadership and creative ventures.

I would love to hear from you! You can connect with me via email or reach out on Instagram or Facebook.
